It is used as a nervine tonic for nervous system disorders. It has been studied for its possible use in Parkinson’s disease. It was found to slow the progression of Parkinsons symptoms (such as tremors, rigidity, slurring, drooling, and imbalance).

Reduction of cholesterol and blood sugar : Research shows mucuna extract is beneficial for reducing cholesterol , lowering blood sugar levels and enhancing mental alertness all without stimulating the central nervous system.

Indications : In Ayurveda, the seeds are used as a tonic for men.

Dose: 1 to 2 capsules 2-3 times a day or as directed by the physician.
