Haritaki Terminalia Chebula Powder
Aids to expel the urine, stool and other waste materials from the body easily.

Dosage:
3-6 gms daily
In case of Vata (air) vitiation, it is useful with Ghee (Clarified Butter).
In case of Pitta (Fire) vitiation, it is useful with sugar.
In case of Kapha (Dry) vitiation, it is useful with rock salt.
1) Rejuvenative, Immune promoter (Balya, Rasayana): Rasayana regimen:
Remove seeds of 2-4 dry Haritaki fruits and cut in to 2 – 3 pieces. Cook it in 4 parts of milk till it becomes soft. After cooling, add little ghee and honey. Daily prepare this recipe and consume to attain good immune power (Astanga Sangraha Uttara tantra, 49/19)
2) Anemia (Panduroga): Haritaki with jaggery:
Take 5 g of Haritaki powder and mix well with equal quantity of jaggery powder to form a bolus. Consume 2 bolus twice daily after meals for 60 days (Bhaishajya Ratnavali, Pandurogadhikara) Terminalia chebula is useful to reduce anemia (Senthilkumar GP et al., J. Appl. Biomed.2008)
3) Diabetes (Prameha): Haritaki powder:
Every morning and evening consume 1 tea spoon of Haritaki powder with a little honey. Constant intake of Haritaki helps to control diabetes.
4) Constipation (Malabandha): Haritaki powder:
Consume 10-15 g of dry Haritaki or Triphala [ie. Powder of Hairtaki (Terminalia chebula), Vibhitaki (Terminalia bellerica) and Amalaki (Phyllanthes emblica) in equal quantities] powder with warm water, after dinner to relieve constipation.
5) Hyperacidity (Amlapitta): Haritaki powder: Eat 10 g of Haritaki powder with grapes to get relief from hyper acidity (Vrinda Madhava)
