Vasavaleha Uses :

Vasavaleha is used in the treatment of cough, asthma, bronchitis, pain abdomen, bleeding disorders and fever.
It acts as broncho – dilator and antimicrobial.

Traditional Indications:

Rajayakshma – chronic bronchitis, tuberculosis
Kasa – cold, cough
Shwasa – asthma, respiratory disorders involving difficulty in breathing
Parshvashoola – pain on the sides of abdomen – flanks
Hrut Shoola – cardiac pain
Raktapitta – bleeding disorders like nasal bleeding, Ulcerative colitis and menorrhagia
Jwara – fever

Vasavaleha Dose

6 – 12 grams once or two times a day before or after food or as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
It is usually administered with milk / honey / warm water
Dosage for children below 5 years of age – 1 – 2 grams, once or twice a day, along with a teaspoon of honey or warm water / milk.
Dosage for children between 5 – 12 years of age – 5 grams once or twice a day along with a teaspoon of honey or warm water / milk.
